Education:

31 Jan 2022 protection was held in the dissertation Council at the Institute of water problems and hydropower engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Institute of water problems, hydropower and ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Tajik National University, majoring in hydrology, water resources, hydrochemistry and (25.00.27). The theme of the dissertation: "a study of the influence of climatic factors on the water flow of the Naryn basin and their long-term prognosis".

In 2021, she completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of Water Problems and Hydropower of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Tajik National University and Bishkek State University. Karasaeva.

In 2015-2018, she completed PhD education at the Volkswagen Foundation, on the topic of hydrological modeling.

In 1994, she graduated from the Department of Geomorphology and Cartography at the Kyrgyz National State University, having received a degree in geographer-teacher.

Work experience:

In 1994-1995, she secured a geography teacher's diploma as a geography teacher at Gymnasium No. 27. In the period 1995-1998 she worked as a hydrological engineer in the Department of hydrological forecasts of Kyrgyz Hydromet, in 1998 she was appointed head of the Department of Hydrological forecasts of Kyrgyz Hydromet at the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, having worked in this position until 2012. Since 2012, he has been working as a researcher in the 2nd department "Climate, Water and Natural Resources" of the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences.

Work and cooperation in projects:

In Kyrgyzhydromet, she worked in the projects "Swiss support to the national hydrometeorological services of the Aral Sea basin" 2009-2011 as a local expert. Prepared reports on the implementation and use of GIS technologies in Kyrgyzhydromet. Reports on the implementation and use of AHFIS (Automatic Hydrological Forecasting Information System) in Kyrgyzhydromet.

She also worked in the Tacis project "ASREWAM Aral Sea 30560" "Support for regional water resources management and capacity building of basin organizations for effective resource management" Chu-Talas pilot project. (2003 - 2008) as a consultant. In the project, she was engaged in the preparation of a report on the provision of hydrological information (the actual water content of rivers and hydrological forecasts) of transboundary National Hydrometeorological Services and interested organizations, on the state of the hydrological network of the Kyrgyz Hydromet, on the possibilities of improving hydrological provision.

In CAIAG, she worked in several international projects. In 2019-2021, she worked in the SCWAI & CARAWAN projects (Great Britain, Reading, University of Reading), where work was carried out to determine the current characteristics and forecast water availability, quality and risks associated with glacial water in mountain river basins. In 2018-2020, she worked as a hydrologist in the project "Ecosystem adaptation to climate change in the high-altitude regions of Central Asia". The project was implemented to prepare accessible innovative and cost-effective approaches and strategies for implementing ecosystem adaptation for certain areas of the high-altitude regions of Central Asia, to create a methodology for ecosystem adaptation in climate-related policies and planning, as well as to develop adaptation approaches of countries and relevant international development partners in Central Asia. CAWa Project (Water in Central Asia). Grant AA7090002 (2014-2019). Responsible person for the implementation of the Agreement between Kyrgyzgidromet, CAIAG and GFZ. Report on procedures for developing a seasonal forecast of water availability in Central Asian countries. She also worked in the GlaSCA-V project (Changes in the components of glacial, snowmelt runoff in Central Asia and social vulnerability) Grant AZ88501. 2014-2017. PhD-work on the preparation of publications and reports in the section hydrological modeling on the rivers of Central Asia. In 2014, she worked in the project "Preliminary comprehensive analysis of the risk of natural disasters at the level of the Kara-Unkur water basin".

Professional development and internships

She completed a professional internship: in December 2019 on hydrometeorological forecasting at Kazhydromet RSE (Kazhydromet, Almaty, Kazakhstan), in March 2019 at Reading University on hydrological modeling, use of regional climatic data and analysis of the chemical composition of river water (Reading, UK), in November-December 2018 - at the German Earth Research Center for the preparation of forecasts of river water content for months based on MODIS satellite data (GFZ, Potsdam, Germany). In October-November 2017 She completed an internship at the German Earth Research Center for the preparation of forecasts of the water content of Kyrgyz rivers for the growing season based on MODIS satellite data (GFZ, Potsdam, Germany), in November 2016 - for the preparation of a seasonal forecast of precipitation and river flow in Central Asian river basins (GFZ, Potsdam, Germany) and in May 2002 - in "Uzhydromet" (Uzhydromet, SANIGMI, Tashkent, Uzbekistan) for hydrometeorological forecasting.

The main area of scientific research is water resources, hydrology, hydrological forecasting and modeling, the impact of climate change on the flow of rivers in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.
