Head of the Department at CAIAG Ryskul Usubaliev Participated in the International Conference "Water, Mountains, and Glaciers of the Kyrgyz Republic: A Sustainable Future"

On December 10, representatives of the Water Resources Service, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, scientists, and experts from international organizations discussed priority areas for strengthening Kyrgyzstan's role as a regional water and mountain center, supporting national interests, and attracting international assistance for the conservation of glaciers and mountain ecosystems.

Ryskul Abdyzhakypovich Usubaliev, Head of the Climate, Water, and Geoecology Department at the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences, PhD in Geology, presented a report on "Glacier Systems of Kyrgyzstan in the Context of Climate Change."

The conference program also included presentations on assessing water and energy resources and hydropower, the impact of climate on river flow regime, water resource management, and transboundary cooperation.

The conference was organized by the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn and the Green Energy Public Foundation.
