A German delegation visited CAIAG
On June 17, 2026, a representative of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMFTR) Patricia Romanowsky and representative of the Project Management Agency in the German Aerospace Center Dr. Hendrik Meurs, the head of the Central Asian Sustainable Innovation Bureau Dr. Peter Liebelt visited the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences.
CAIAG Co-Directors Bolot Moldobekov and Oliver Bence presented a hybrid presentation to the guests on the institute's history and research.
The visit also included a tour of the institute's infrastructure and information systems, such as those for seismic early warning.
The parties discussed the potential for developing cooperation in geosciences and climate change research.
