CAIAG MAGISTRACY

Master degree programme in 630100 "Applied Geology" trains master students  for following directions:

Central Asian Institute of Applied Geosciences (CAIAG) in cooperation  with the Kyrgyz State Technical I.Razzakov  University (KSTU) trains master students.

Lessons are conducted by university teachers, who have been trained at the best universities in the USA, Germany, Japan, the Commonwealth of Independent States and  People’s Republic of China. More than 80% of university teachers providing educational process have doctoral or candidate of science degrees.

Undergraduates are provided with the opportunity to operation exchange information with domestic and foreign universities, enterprises and organizations, each undergraduate has access to databases and the library fund. The CAIAG Master's program includes laboratory workshops, practical exercises and field practice.

CAIAG and KSTU have the material and technical base that provides for all types of laboratory, disciplinary and interdisciplinary training, practical and research work.

Georisks from the word (geo-Earth) and risks. Geosciences study the development of the Earth and life from their inception to the present day. By understanding the relevant geoprocesses, geosciences can answer scientific questions about global change, environmental impacts and risks, and the availability of needed raw materials. The geological study of the Earth's structure and rocks near its surface provides valuable clues about past and future processes (volcanism, tsunamis, earthquakes and climate change). While geophysical processes allow us to look into the interior of the earth, geochemical analysis gives us clues about past events, the only traces of which are preserved in rocks. Understanding the hydrogeological systems in the upper regions of the earth's crust helps us ensure the availability of drinking water throughout the world.
